Working towards Southland

Pizza, beer and living a normal life away from the bike for the past few weeks is the best way to refresh body and mind for the training phase ahead leading into 2012.  Now I'm feeling ready to get back into some hard work to get back into shape with the aim to come out of this next phase faster and stronger than before.

My next hit out with the Mico-Protrain Cycling team will be at Le Race in Christchurch. Until then it's training, training and enjoying my time before the full race season concludes in November with the Tour of Southland. This will round off my 2011 season and I'll then rest up with an eye on 2012.  

A big thanks to Armstrong Sport for being able to look after me with a Pinarello Paris for the season. From the rides completed so far it's fair to say I'm excited about how it responds in every aspect. Can't wait to get the race wheels on it and knock it up.
